Mission to the Philippines on Geographical Indications (GI), 15-18 May 2007, Manila

Following an invitation from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines,  Ms. Pajchima Tanasanti, Director of Trade Mark Office of the Thai Department of Intellectual Property in charge of Thai GI development, and Mr. Stéphane Passeri, ECAP II  Programme Administrator, undertook a three-day mission to the Philippines to present Thai and European experiences on Geographical Indications.  Mr Passeri also presented other GI developments in ASEAN with relevant Filipino agencies as the IP Office in Philippines as well as other Filipino stake-holders is currently considering the potential of GI development for the protection and promotion of local products.
