Supported by ECAP II, OHIM and Singapore, the first ASEAN Trade Mark Database is now accessible via the internet search website (www.surfip.gov.sg) of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). With a single query, a trade mark search can be performed across six ASEAN national IP offices’ trade mark databases namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. This on-line search facility will reduce time-consuming individual search procedures for users. The access to the records maintained by ASEAN countries' trade mark registries will also help trade mark owners to better protect their marks nationally and internationally.
