Preparation for Accession to the Madrid Protocol & to The Hague Agreement, 13-17 February 2006, Madrid/ Geneva

Mr Tran Viet Hung, Deputy Director of the National Office of Intellectual Property, led a delegation of 11 Vietnamese officials from the National Office of Intellectual Property and other governmental authorities to visit the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office in Madrid and WIPO in Geneva.  The delegation studied the legal and administrative issues related to the Madrid Protocol (trade marks) and the Hague Agreement (industrial designs). On 11 July, Vietnam joined the Madrid Protocol.
