Translation of the new Thai GI Gazette and Registered GIs, December 2006 - February 2007

ECAP II assisted the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) of Thailand in translating the Geographical Indications (GIs) Gazette Vol 2 No 3 from Thai into English.  The description of three newly registered GIs were also translated, namely Chiangrai Phulae Pineapple, Nanglae Pineapple  and Sakon Dhavapi Haang Golden Aromatic Rice.    

As of end February 2007, there was a total of 14 GIs registered in Thailand placing it as the number one country in ASEAN by  number of  registered GIs. To consult descriptions of Thai GIs, please view the page on Thai IP legislations.
