Nearly 300 participants joined this DIP- ECAP II public awareness exercise to inform Thai businesses and innovators on how to protect IP assets in Europe.
Europe offers enormous opportunities for Thai export. At the same time, there is a wide range of possibilities for Thai producers to add value to their intellectual property assets through the European patent, trade mark and design systems.
Mr. Kanissorn Navanugraha, DIP Director-General, said “the event conforms with the DIP strategy to promote IP asset management among the Thai private sector and the use of intellectual Property and the patent information to add value to Thai export.”
EPO Vice President Prof. Desantes remarked : “We hope that through this event, Thai businesses, exporters and innovators will become more aware, and thereby more active users of the European patent system and the valuable patent information. The EPO is committed to international co-operation and working with the DIP to ensure that Thai products make further inroads into the European market.”
