A group of 33 officials from various Commerce Ministry departments involved in the ongoing negotiations for bilateral free trade agreement between the Thai government and various countries attended this two days seminar which sought to equip them with a broad knowledge of IPR protection in Europe. ECAP II has coordinated for experts to give presentation on key aspects of intellectual property rights in Europe namely ECAP II administrator Stephane Passeri, Mr Marc Glodkowski, the ASEAN regional representative for the French National Industrial Property Office. The participants also heard specialist views from lawyers namely Mr Franck Fougere, Managing Director of Vidon & Partners (Thailand) who spoke about managing IPR from the right holder’s perspective, and Mr Fabrice Mattei, Managing Director and International Partner of Rose & Co. International who discussed copyright management as well as enforcement of IPR in Europe.
