An EU-ASEAN Workshop for Thai SMEs 11-12 November 2002, Bangkok

n this first major public awareness exercise, ECAP organized two consecutive work shops to familiarise local firms particularly the SMEs in Thailand and the Philippines about the importance of IP protection. The workshop in Bangkok drew over 200 participants who gathered to hear OHIM expert Virginia Melgar’s presentation on how to access and get fair IP protection in the European Market. Local speakers from law firms as well as SMEs operators themselves shared relevant experiences of why IP matters to them.
