ECAP arranged for a European legal specialist to address a seminar with officials from IPO, relevant ministries and agencies as well as IP agents. With a view to raise awareness and understanding of developments in copyright, the EU expert focused specifically on how the EC Directive on copyright is being implemented, while providing a comparative analysis between the EC and US systems. Participants at the forum also discussed the current status of copyright legislation in Singapore in the context of international developments, while showing particular interest in the practices of the UK, Germany and France.
