Assistance in the identification/definition of appropriate training materials for the trade mark training unit 30 September-4 October, 2002.

Since April 2001, the IP Office of Singapore (IPOS) was converted to a statutory board under the Ministry of Law, giving it greater autonomy and resources.

The IPOS is in the process of establishing and consolidating a training unit. It has thus requested the assistance of a European expert to investigate and analyse the necessary training materials that would be most suitable and effective for the IPOs in the short to medium term. As a result of ECAPII -sponsored mission, an expert from UK Trade Mark Registry Mark Jefferiss undertook a mission that produced a recommendation report identifying specific training needs.
