Workshop on Relative Grounds for Refusal and Opposition Proceedings, 8-9 March 2004, Manila

A group of 25 IPO officials took part in this training session with two OHIM experts, Ms. Susy Scardocchia and Mr. Rhys Morgan. Apart from getting in-depth view of practices at OHIM, participants and trainers engaged in lively exchanges during the course. “The additional knowledge gained from the workshop will help to expedite my decision making, and I will apply the ideas that are applicable to our own rules and regulations" participant Padencia Chua said about the workshop. The experts meanwhile are impressed with the participants’ enthusiasm. “I felt they were attentive and engaged," Ms Scardocchia, legal assistant from OHIM's First Board of Appeal, said of her experience carrying out this training.
