Preparation of Guidelines on Trademark Procedures

One of the trademark activities being carried out this year with the IPO of the Philippines is the preparation of Guidelines on Trademark Procedures. The intended purpose of the Guidelines is to provide the IPO staff members with a useful reference guide on the substantive examination of trademark applications. Ms. Ilse Mayer and Dr. Jörg Weberndörfer, trademark experts from the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market prepared the Guidelines and during the week of the 7th of July held a series of meetings with members of all the Divisions of the Bureau of Trademarks and the Bureau of Legal Affairs at the IPO in Manila.
