ECAP II and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO) jointly organized the EU-ASEAN Seminar for Public Prosecutors on Intellectual Property Rights during 25-26 October 2004 at the Dusit Nikko in Manila. Over 60 public prosecutors, as well as IP practitioners, took part in this forum which also marked the start of National IP Week in the Philippines. A number of distinguished local speakers joined European experts in an exercise that many participating prosecutors commended as helping to equip them with the necessary knowledge in dealing with IP-related cases in the future.
