Under this programme, Mr Noel A.Catibog, science research specialist of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and National Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology spent two months at the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute in London looking into IP management and concerns regarding plant variety protection in the Philippines. The research topic is “Policy Options and Possible Mechanisms for Protection of Agricultural Biotechnology Inventions Under the Philippine IP Laws.”
