Workshop on the Use of Patent Information as a Tool for Technical and Economical Development, 5 May 2006, Vientiane

Over 30 participants from Lao SMEs, universities and Research Centres attended the workshop on the use of patent information as a tool for technical and economical development organised by ECAP II and the Science, Technology and Environment Agency (STEA). Ms. Keobang-a Keola, Deputy Director General of Cabinet of STEA, Mr Sandro Cerrator, Chargé d’affaires of the EC Delegation to Lao PDR and Mr Stephane Passeri, ECAP II Programme Administrator addressed the opening of the event.

Dr Roland Feinäugle from the Vienna sub-office of the European Patent Office (EPO) presented to participants how to search and extract technical information using the esp@cenet® (www.espacenet.com) of the European Patent Office.
