Plant Varieties Audit & Draft Regulation, February 2006, Vientiane

As part of ECAP II assistance to the development of the legal framework in Laos, ECAP II has been assisting the Laotian IP-related offices in drafting IP-related regulations consistent with the Prime Minister’s Decree on IPR.

Ms Nicole Bustin, expert from the Comité Français de Protection des Obtentions Végétales (CPOV), assisted Lao PDR authorities in drafting legislation on plant variety protection. An expert mission to Vientiane will follow in the second half of 2006.
