Preparation of Guidelines on Well-known Marks 20-22 October 2004, Jakarta

In this first ECAP II national activity for Indonesia, OHIM expert Dimitrios Botis completed a mission to prepare guidelines on well-known marks for the DGIPR. Treatment of well-known marks is among the areas identified by DGIPR as priority for ECAP II cooperation activities. Mr. Botis from OHIM’s Trade Marks Department holds masters degree in law and worked in the private sector specialising in IP matters before joining OHIM in 1999. He has been responsible for the drafting and updating of OHIM guidelines on well-known marks and marks with reputation. He also trains other examiners on this field.
