Initial Mission on Resource and Management Audit, Jakarta, 7-19 February 2005

Two European experts – Mr. Bernd Scharfenberger and Mr. Jose Maria Mauricio carried out an initial investigation to assist with the development of a resource development and management plan/business plan for the DGIPR covering an inventory audit, organisation of human resources and personnel structure, physical infrastructure and finance. The experts also looked into the possibilities for the DGIPR to become a self-financing institution. The results of this initial investigation will be used to formulate a business plan which will determine and address the gap between the existing and the needed resources over time, taking into consideration future projections including organisation growth and external factors. ECAPII has done similar exercises for the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.
