Participation at the Launch of Cambodia’s 2007 Trade Integration Strategy (DTIS 2007), 5-6 December 2007, Phnom Penh

Under the invitation of the United National Development Programme (UNDP) in Cambodia, ECAP II designated to follow-up the IP component of the DTIS, participated to the launch the Cambodia’s 2007 Trade Integration Strategy (DTIS 2007) organised on 5-6 December 2007 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event was presided over by H.E Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and gathered government representatives, development partners and international experts from public and private sectors. The DTIS 2007 is considered as the National Policy Framework for Trade Related Technical Assistance and identify conditions and strategies that are conducive to human development in Cambodia through the international trade. Mr Passeri, ECAP II administrator reported on the importance of IPR as a tool for the country development with a special emphasize on the importance of trade mark registration, branding promotion and the protection  of geographical  Indications (GIs) for the development and exportation of Cambodian products .
